General Summary:

The Sales Associate is responsible for the sale of boats, motors, and upgrade options as well as after sales support. The Sales Associate’s main role within the dealership is to provide the best customer service experience possible to customers looking to purchase a new or used boat, motor, and/or trailer package. The Sales Associate handles the sale of major units and options with the customer and manages the order from start to finish. The Sales Associate is there to provide a customer focused approach to sales and ultimately aid the customer in choosing the right boat for his/ her application. The Sales Associate works with the customer as well as with our parts department and service department to ensure the boat is completed to customer’s expectation and timeline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquire full knowledge of all product lines to include boats, motors, trailers, parts, and accessories
  • Respond to prospective clients generated from website, advertising, referrals, new business development, etc.
  • Assist customers in store with purchase of boats, motors, accessories, and install options
  • Maintain showroom displays
  • Coordinate freight quotes, appointments, and deliveries for out of area sales
  • Understand new programs and pricing to be competitive in today's market place
  • Write up customer invoices, sales receipts, and record payment made by customers for individual sales
  • Coordinate option and upgrade work with parts, service, and delivery team
  • Coordinate and work marine trade shows and off-site events
  • Follow Sales Deal Process and Delivery Checklists
  • Accepts other responsibilities as requested by the dealer principals
